Emergency response consultants prepare facilities for the incidents they hope never happen — emergency action plans under OSHA 1910.38, HAZWOPER emergency response programs under 1910.120(q), and incident command structures aligned to NIMS and ICS. Typical engagements include plan development, hazard-specific annexes for chemical releases and severe weather, tabletop exercises, full-scale drills with graded evaluations, and training for response team members from awareness through incident commander level. Many also coordinate with local fire departments and LEPCs so outside responders know the facility before an incident.
